For twenty hours a week over a five week period Zanisnik stood inside a plexi-glass and wood container silently reading Philip Roth's "The Great American Novel." While standing there baseball cards and out of circulation U.S. currency were fanned around the artist's body. Surrounding the container was a site-specific installation of objects either collected from Zanisnik's childhood home or found in the basement of the Abrons Arts Center.
