Zawodniczek Summer Home is a two-hour performance inside the former summer hunting residence for the German Emperor Kaiser Wilhelm II. For the two-hour duration of my performance, Zanisnik sat absolutely still holding a hunting rifle in his right hand and a zapiekanki, a traditional Polish fast food, in his left hand. Surrounding the artist is an entire room constructed out of communist artifacts, contemporary tchotchkes, ruined furniture, cardboard, and thousands of soviet postcards from the 1980s.
