Around 1900, Zanisnik's great grandfather wrestled a wolf in the Ukraine. In 2007 the artist traveled  to the Ukraine and researched this family story. He is Not a Man is a live performance inspired by these ancestral events. Zanisnik invited a childhood bully to dress as a wolf and box him. The boxing match was real, and unfortunately, zanisnik lost in three rounds.
